For Authors
The Zambian Journal of Sports Physical Therapy (ZJSPT) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing sports physical therapy research, clinical practice, education, and policy in Zambia, Africa, and comparable global contexts.
ZJSPT prioritises work that is methodologically rigorous, contextually relevant, and practice-informing, with particular emphasis on low- and middle-income settings, elite and community sport, and health-system strengthening.
Scope of the Journal
ZJSPT welcomes submissions across the full spectrum of sports physical therapy, including but not limited to:
- Sports injury epidemiology and surveillance
- Injury prevention and risk reduction (e.g., warm-up programmes, load management)
- Rehabilitation of sports injuries (acute and chronic)
- Return-to-sport and return-to-performance decision-making
- Sports biomechanics and movement analysis
- Strength, conditioning, and performance rehabilitation
- Youth, female, and para-athlete sports
- Mental health, psychosocial factors, and athlete well-being
